Celebrating 10 Years of Beaded Bliss and Community!

Debi provided a wonderful carrot cake to share with her wonderful customers on this exciting day - 10 years of beading and friendship!All day long customers dropped by, keeping all staff (and some visiting friends!) busy helping them find items, ring through the cash register or get a moment to speak with Debi personally - despite the crush at the cash register everyone worked full tilt to keep up and our great customers kept the party going! Debi glowed with the kind words and the atmosphere was so upbeat we could have stayed forever!

Friends, family and customers kept popping in with best wishes and happy anecdotes to share about Debi and Beads of Colour, and many took the time to read and sign the memory book pages staff had prepared to surprise Debi. The life and times of Beads of Colour are captured in clippings, photos and notes to enjoy over and over! Several staff and friends got together to plot a memory book for Debi to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Beads of Colour - once it was in the works, however, we found it needed TWO books! One book chronicles the Beads of Colour story and how it grew from Debi's need to express herself in beads and provide a place to do so. The second book catalogues some of Debi's successes and includes notes and photos from her many friends and admirers. We were so excited waiting for Debi to open her surprise - and what a surprise it was!
